What inspired you to write your books? 

As a librarian and storyteller, I have a vision of sharing Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage with the world through Vietnamese folktales, myths, and legends. I believe in building bridges between cultures, one folktale at a time.

What do you hope readers will take away from your books?  

Inspiring readers and lifting up the younger generation to become storytellers and learn about Viet Nam and its culture.

What are some tips for retelling a folktale?

When retelling a folktale, one should always think of the great balance between the text and illustrations that will make it easy for readers to follow, to captivate and entertain them. It is also important to know where to end the story.
